The citizen Omer Ahmed Al-Bashir, Monday launched his election campaign in Aweil, the capital of North Bahral-Ghazal.
Addressing a mass rally on this occasion, Al-Bashir said that the National Congress will do its best to make unity as the most attractive choice for the southerners, adding that he will respect the opinion of the people of south Sudan if they decided to separate from north Sudan
He affirmed the government concern with North Bahral-Ghazal on ground that it provides a good model for the unity, social co-existence and tribal intermingling
Al-Bashir conveyed his election programme to in which he affirmed his keenness to continue development, provision of services, giving south Sudan a special priority, rehabilitation of schools, universities and infrastructures and linking the north with south Sudan through roads and railways
Meanwhile, chairman of the National Congress in North Bahral-Ghazal State, Lula Lual, said that the National Congress is ready for the elections, stating that the people of North Bahral-Ghazal State are supporting Omer Al-Bashir
Sumaya Paul also addressed the mass rally underscoring the important role of women for boosting the unity and development
