President of the Republic and Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, Field Marshal Omer Al-Bashir, Sunday attended at the Military College in Omdurman the celebration of the University of Karrari to mark the graduation of 468 officers of the different colleges.
The graduated officers included 46 officers from Kuwait and four officers from Chad.
During the festival, the President of the Republic has bestowed the Nelein Order (First Class) to the visiting Kuwaiti Chief of Staff.
Addressing the graduation festival, the Minister of Defence, Lt. Gen. Awad Ahmed Ibn-Auf, said that Sudan has been playing its role in boosting peace and security in its Arab and African regions, affirming the keenness of Sudan to share experiences and benefits with the sister country in the two regions.
He reiterated Sudan ethical commitment to cope with the international efforts in the humanitarian field.
The Minister of Defence has praised the patriotic role of the Armed Forces, the Rapid Support Forces and the other security organs at the operation zones in defending the homeland.
He renewed call on the gun-holders to stick to wisdom and to join the peace process.
